Fresh off a year of touring with the likes of Hold Steady, Flogging Molly, and NOFX in support of their critically acclaimed release, Build and Burn, The Loved Ones are back with their latest offering, Distractions. Eager to slake the collective thirst of their rapidly growing fan base, the band utilized what little time they had between tours to compile thesong EP. Distractions demonstrates The Loved Ones hallmark ability to ride the line between punk rock and Americana through a seamless blending of the two genres.
Saturated with unforgettable hooks, rock riffs, contemplative lyrics, and enduring melodies, Distractions showcases all the elements that have driven the band's meteoric rise through the music scene. In addition to original material, the band also pays homage to a few of their greatest influences by putting their signature twist on songs from Bruce Springsteen, Billy Bragg, and Joe Strummer.
