When I heard this was a covers album by smaller bands I'd not heard of, I thought I was going to be disappointed. But this album is great. I assume (from a brief read of the linear notes) that these songs represent some of the better tracks by the other bands showcased, and they are all good.

TBR clearly add their own spin to these tracks (or everyone of the bands sounds exactly like TBR), so they do sort of sit with their other releases. This leads me to my only criticism; in doing this album TBR have definitely not strayed out of their comfort zone in terms of sound. But they are very good at making the sound they make, so I can't complain.

For those of you who are not aware (I didn't even think about it) - the NOFX tracks appear on their Maximum RockNRoll album (reading the recording description, they may be different recordings, but I can't say I noticed, although didn't re-listen the the NOFX album before hand).

The Fornicators are middle of the road street punk, the nearest comparison that pops into my head is Time Again. The tracks are all fairly likeable (good driving music), but I wouldn't go out of my way to get another release by them, but if you like Time Again, definitely give it a go.

Similar to the 3 mystery LPs; I got two records from bands I'd never heard of, and one by For The Worse. Nothing amazing, but still worth a listen. The other two ten inches were more in the hair metal/rock area, but still okay. Still would have liked to get something by some of the more well known bands around, but didn't really expect it.

Had no idea what to expect from this; have had mystery boxes from Bridge Nine and No Idea Records in the past with varying results. These 3 LPs were really interesting. Not sure I would have picked them out for myself, but for the money they were well worth it.
