Sex Vid
Communal Living (Colored Vinyl) LP

Chaotic...uh...hardcore? I think chaotic better describes the band than 'hardcore'. Another amazing release from these Northwest heroes. It's difficult for me to describe what they sound like. I guess you could say they're one of those bands where you feel like they truly believe in the music they're doing, and they're using their music to express themselves and express a feeling. And not just feelings about some petty high school crush, or how your job sucks and you hate your life. Real feelings of frustration, anxiety, hopelessness. Thoughtful and poetic lyrics that leave you both puzzled and in awe. These guys are breaking borders, smashing down that hopeless norm that hardcore has to be cookie-cutter to sound 'good'.

Electric Guitar CD

These guys shred. An unbelievably amazing album. Their best release yet in my opinion. Includes their 'Survive in the City' 7". I can't say anything bad about their s/t album but this one is significantly better (if you have to choose, if you don't, pick up both). Faster, louder, snottier, on a more consistent song-to-song basis than their s/t LP. They pull off the clean guitar tone sound really well while still managing to destroy eardrums. Hardcore at its best. Well worth the skrilla.

Top Ten -Easily Unkind 7

Pretty alright poppy punk (bar rock?) about relationships and all that crap. Great vocals, totally rad guitar, although it seems like there's something missing, or maybe too much of something. Might sound better with crappier instruments, but that's just me. They do an alright cover of Teenage head's "Ain't got no sense". If you're into really poppy punk, then this wouldn't be a complete waste of money, but if you just wanna check them out they've got another 7" that's a much better record in my opinion.

Fast, incoherent, loud, offensive, amazing. The insert alone makes the whole deal worth it. Reminds me a little bit of Out with a Bang! but with less coke and more teen-buttheadedness.
