The Other F Word DVD

If you're old like me, and I know I am, you may start thinking that getting married and having kids with someone you love isn't really "selling out". Well, these old punk, new punk, pop whatever etc. fathers will let you see what it's like. This is a fantastic documentary. Very touching, very badass soundtrack. I recommend it to everyone, but mostly to aging punkers or punk fathers.

Blink 182
Neighborhoods CD

First, I cut my free B182 poster in half while trying to get to the CD. Doh! Pants & Jacket was the worst thing ever, but I felt like I was the only one who loved the last one, self-titled. Anyway, this one is like the last one. That should clear things up! WTF is up with their "singles"? Up All Night? That would be my last choice. Bleh, the kids can eat a bag of dicks. Yeah! You can have some mustard I guess...

Screeching Weasel
First World Manifesto LP

I'm a huge Weasel fan. I thought this album was much better than the other post-HTMEAIP albums. It reminds me of Anthem For A New Tomorrow. A good album for anyone down with the Weas.

Finder's Keeper's CD

Ah, Dynamite Boy. No one gives an eff about you anymore, but at one time you were opening for many not-yet-but-now-famous pop-punk bands. DB is pure bubblegummy girl-infected songs. Some is really catchy, some just flows together. This is the second time I've purchased the album, mostly for the art, and to bring back nostalgia of my younger days.

Mad Caddies
Consentual Selections CD

I've been a Caddies fan since Quality Soft Core, and a "greatest hits" has been a long time coming. If you're not familiar with them, this album is an excellent representation of their work. At the sacrifice of my dignity for uttering that filthy "S" word, Sublime fans will probably like it. Interestingly, I was playing it fresh out of the case, and my mom came by and said she really liked it. I'm thirty, and my parents are twice my age. So I was like, whatever, since when do you listen to my albums? And then my dad came by, and he liked it too, and they started (blarf) dancing in my living room! So I just said "AAAAAAAA! Alright, take the CD, I don't need it! Just please stop. And they did, and left. So negative a kabillion stars for you, Mad Caddies, for making my parents dance in front of me.

Four Year Strong
Enemy Of The World CD

I give this album five stars from the album artwork alone! I mean, besides the epic band caracatures, it has a robotic shark with a rifle stuck to its head! That's what punk is all about. Plus, the songs are great. It hits the sweet spot between melodic and hard punk for me, and FYS shreds out a pretty decent variety of songs. Are you still reading this? Go buy now.

Green Day
Insomniac LP

Green Day saved my life! JK. I bought 39/Smooth, Kerplunk, Dookie, and Insomniac over a decade ago, and now again this year. They aren't the same band now, but back in the day, they helped me find my ultimate passion: music. I actually bought these albums just to put on my wall and not open, but I'm wondering what the 7"s look like...
