World/Inferno Friend
Anarchy & The Ecstasy LP

WIFS gets better and better with each release. This time around, the songs are more piano and horn driven, with more lead vocals from Sandra; Jack plays guitar sparsely, giving a few songs a Sticks & Stones shadowing, but amped up by the punk orchestral arrangements, every song has nuances that are hidden until repeated listens have you discovering everything the band has tucked away into the album. "The Apple Was Eve" and "13 Years Without Peter King" are my favorites, but, in all honesty, if you have any of their other albums, you'll love every song on this one, just as much as you do with everything else they have done.

Great album all the way through. All of the songs are fun and easy to sing along to after one listen. Check this out if you enjoy any other Red Scare bands, Against Me!, and/or Dead To Me.

Stockyard Stoics/Filaments -The Special Relationship EP Split 7

Stockyard Stoics/Filaments
The Special Relationship EP Split 7"

Stockyard Stoics delivers three amazing songs...too bad it's their last release. The Filaments were alright, but I mainly got this for Stockyard. Comes with a zine from their last tour, as well as band interviews and a sticker. Get it!

This only makes me want their new album so much more! Just as good, if not better than Just the Best Party, even if it is only two songs. Consume, you bastards.

Hub City Stompers
Blood, Sweat And Beers CD

Traditional ska mixed with a skinhead/oi mentality. All the songs are played at a faster pace and are not as laid back as most of the traditional ska bands out there. I have seen these guys three times in the last year since I bought this CD back in March and they have not disappointed. Check out the Mass Appeal EP for an even better version of Sum of Three and a few more gems. Hey, Inspecter 7 was good, but this band is even better. Definetly worth buying.
