Civet
Hell Hath No Fury CD

Very good album. This is pretty much in the same vein as 'Massacre'; if you enjoyed that you'll take to this too. Give the album a few listens before you make a judgement; the first run through for me didn't impress but it's a grower. The production is better than 'Massacre' giving the songs a much crisper sound.

Time Again CD

Quality 6-track debut EP!! The opening track, 'Do you Wanna Change' is catchy as hell, they also cover a Rancid song (some people may not be too surprised!!), 'Tattoo' which doesn't sound too dissimilar to the original. I would recommend this EP to all fans of their full-length albums, and, of course, all Rancid fans would like also. Purely by coincidence, on the group photo, Daniel wears a Rancid t-shirt, Elijah wears an Operation Ivy t-shirt and Brian sports a Hellcat Records t-shirt. I think they may be fans of Tim Armstrong!!

Darker Days CD

Time Again is a band I can listen to over and over again. This second full-length release is similar to 'The Stories are True'; all songs are classic punk rock with catchy sing-a-long choruses. Despite what some reviewers think, Time Again are not Rancid clones; listen to this release as well as 'The Stories are True'; Rancid have not released two back-to-back releases as strong as this since 1994/5. Time Again will only get better. A Classic!!

Rancid
B Sides And C Sides CD

There are some very good songs on this collection, but I cannot give a B Sides album more than 4 stars - if they were that good, they would have been on a Rancid album years ago. There are B Sides here going back 10 years, Blast' Em is taken off the Time Bomb Single whilst Killing Zone is from the more recent Fall Back Down. The stand-out tracks for me are Ben Zanotto, Dead and Gone and Sick Sick World - not surprisingly, all recorded during the Rancid 2000 sessions. Rancid promised a new album in the spring of 2007 in the UK and failed to deliver - I can't help thinking that this compilation has been released just to shut people up and buy themselves time whilst in the studio. Even though I owned all the tracks (except 4) on various compilations and singles, it still holds it's own and is justly awarded 4 stars.
