This CD is the soundtrack for the Forrest Whitaker/Julia Stiles movie by Baltasr Krmkur called "A Little Trip To Heaven." It's a good movie with a great soundtrack. I saw it when it was in theaters in Iceland, but it has been released on DVD in the U.S. recently. If you are a fan of Mugison's music or this movie, then definitely grab this album. If you have never experienced Mugison, I would recommend trying "Mugimama Is This Monkey Music?" first.
OK, so I never managed to purchase this one when I lived in Iceland, so I finally bought it through Interpunk. I'm glad I did, because all the songs are as great as I remember last time I heard this one a year and a half ago. Mugison emerged from the masses of troubadors on the small town Icelandic bar circuit as a true talent amongst his peers. After having sat through my share of not-so-great Icelandic troubadors, Mugison emerges as a truly great musician. I highly recommend it to anybody interested in Iceland's underground scene. Æðislegt gótt!!
This live album is a lot like the first one but with a different song selection. Anybody with a brain or independent thought regarding politics will love some of the lyrical twists Fat Mike throws in: "I wanna see Dick Cheney have a heart attack. I wanna see Jen and Barbara go to Iraq...." Overall, another great album from a great band. A must have for any NOFX fan and a pretty good choice for anybody who wants to sample what NOFX is all about, since it has old and new songs.
This album is a must have for anybody interested in hardcore/punk. I Adapt is the best hardcore band in Iceland and writes agressive music with thoughtful lyrics. Buy this CD and look for them on tour in the U.S. every few months/years.....
