Our Darkest Days CD

Just when those So. Cal. Hardcore titans couldn't get any better they release "Our Darkest Days". I'm telling you every single track is pure diamond. If you like melodic hardcore that kicks you in the teeth and then swirls you around in a fury of punches and kicks...then get this album!

Decemberunderground CD

This is a good not get me wrong, but this is NOT an AFI album. I think Davey and the boys should have put this under a different name. This is what happens when a solid band gets on a major label and the label dictates how they want the music to go. Still...I really like it...but just not as an AFI album.

The Traveling Vampire Show CD

Calabrese are an Arizona based horror punk outfit. They do what they do well and with some style. However, this new album shows absolutely no growth in the band and most of these songs could easily have been on their first album. Dare i even mention how these ghouls follow every single bad horror rock trend out there...well except maybe skeleton gloves. If you don't care about a band evolving then check these guys out because they pull some damned good melody's over solid punk.

Sinking Spells
The Devil At My Side CD

From the eldest parts of Western settled North America come the Sinking Spells (Salem, MA). They are brandishing a particular brand of dark tinged punk that has elements of The Alkaline Trio, Jawbreaker and Bob Dylan. This is their newest EP and is just a taste of things to come. The first, fourth and seventh tracks are accoustic and the rest is just rockin out melodic punk. I suggest getting this album as soon as you can.

Antarctica Vs. The World
Grave New World CD

I've just recieved this album and it thrashs. I've listened to many many different horror rock bands and let me tell you that AVW isn't your run of the mill horror rock band. The main things they take from the misfits *most bands in this genre tend to borrow from the misfits* is the complete and utter attitude and ferocity. THe vocals are very much NOT a Glenn rip off and i can definitally say they don't put on the cheesey skelly make up. ANyway back to the music...its straight and to the point and rips your face of as Cos attacks you with his frantic vocals. GET THIS ALBUM!!!

Now for the chocking victim demo...i had never heard of Chocking Victim till i got this and i will most likely never pick up another one of their albums. It just wasn't my thing...everyone is entitled to their own opinion!
