Read Music/Speak Spanish CD

Good solid album from the not quite famous Conor Oberst and his crew of saddlecreek buddies. Reminds me almost of rocking late 70s tunes thrown in a blender with some small effects, then poured over Conor's journal of stories and intelligent lyrics. All in all, worth getting if your a fan of Bright Eyes, even Commander Venus.

Forever And Counting (Import) LP

Fucking awesome hard to find LP here. This is the original Hot Water Music sound, the layered vocals, gruffier than a basset hound with a cold. Any serious HWM fans out there? Well if so get this, you won't be dissapointed. BUY VINYL MOTHERFUCKERS!!

Q and Not U
No Kill No Beep Beep LP

No Kill No Beep Beep, odd name for an album, but it fits well. This album contains the odd, odd time signitures, odd guitar chords, and well, you get the point. But this oddness is awesome, these guys are one of the most original bands out there right now, and rocking this originality with cuts like "We heart our hive", and "A line in the Sand" among others. Lyrics remind me a lot of At the drive in without the dictionary words. Pick it up, play it, and feel the great oddness of this album.

Hot Water Music
Caution old LP

New direction. Once again Hot Water Music progresses on their neo-hardcore sound with their latest. Filled with the great guitar work and rythym section you would expect from the gainesville four, but in a different form than previous albums. Oh yeah, and the guy below me acts like he knows this band pretty well, ha, its Scot Sinc (Sinclair) who did the awesome job on the artwork, not scuba steve.

Three words for this album. UN BELIEVE ABLE!! Hard hittin emotion on every track. The lead singers voice is very smooth and clean, but backed up by a screaming, very harsh other vocalist. Very good poeticlike lyrics that hit you in the heart. If you are looking for Get Up Kids/Saves the Day type emo, then dont look here. This release tears down all the walls, and creates a new style.

Small Brown Bike/Cursive -Split (Limited Edition) 7

Small Brown Bike/Cursive
Split (Limited Edition) 7"

This split release puts two of the best hardcore/emo bands in one nice little 7" package. Small brown bike doesnt let up one bit from their last release with the song "My Unanswered Whys". On the flip side, Cursive churns out that emotional, math rock like sound in the song Nostalgia. Limited Edition on green vinyl, a must have for either fan.

Two words, Pre-Punk, would pretty much sum up the style of music on this record. Ex-Refused frontman Dennis Lyxen leads this 5 piece back into the late sixties and early seventies with their Mc5, the Who and even some velvet underground influences. What could be better than a chick playin an organ while drums slam, guitars twang, and the screams of YEAH!are belted out by Dennis. Quit imagining it, and get it.

Fuel For The Hate Game CD

Not only Hot Water Music's best, but this could be,if not, the best album EVER. Im serious, the songwriting is astonishing, the dual guitars layered on each other are phenomenal. The two cough-drop vocalist Chuck and Chris sing with so much emotion, you can't stop the goosebumps from popping up. I don't know how I lived before without this album, but i am sure it'll keep me a fan for years to come. Thank you for such a great album Hot Water Music.

Bottles to the Ground EP CD

Well, two of the songs are on PUTV which is kind of a rip off, but the song LOWER is awesome. I think lower should have been on PUTV instead of bottles to the ground, its a much better song. Buy the cd just for that song, if not buy it anyways its a limited edition.

NOFX -Surfer 7

NOFX
Surfer 7"

You gotta love the 7"s nofx puts out, and this one is no exception. Fast, short and funny is how to describe this one and who could resist not laughing at the cover, which is a great original cover from Bad Religion and a great parody. Buy it if you like nofx, and have a record player, if you dont, go out and get one because cd's suck.
