Manic Hispanic
The Recline Of Mexican Civilization CD

This is a pretty cool Manic Hispanic CD. If you know them then you will like this. I might as well just give a summery of the tracks for you dudes.

Mag Seven
The Future Is Ours, If You Can Count CD

I bought this simply because I found out that Bill Stevenson was on it. It's a totally instrumental CD which is pretty cool in small doses but it gets a little boring after a while. All the guitars have the same sort of sound, the drums have the same sort of beat and all the songs are about the same tempo. Ultimatly it's better than most stuff out these days.

Low Budgets
Aim Low, Get High CD

It's in the same vein as previous Low Budgets, but with a little bit more cleaver lyrics and better music. It sounds a bit like Dead Milkmen obviously, espcially the Joe Jack songs. Whistle Blower, Lawsuit and Thrift Store are the best songs.

Drag The River
It's Crazy CD

A very good country album, much slower than previous Drag The River stuff. Best songs are Tired & Fired and Dirty Lips.

Adolescents
Live At The House Of Blues - The Show Must Go Off! CD/DVD

The adolescents rock. But this is kind of lame, because this ahem "live" album has so many studio overdubs that it really took me out of the experience. Other than that, its the adolescents so its pretty good, but I would rather just listen to the blue album, or a re-recording of it.

Black Fag CD

This is just a little novelty CD, of Black Flag songs with a gay singer. Its fun for a while, but it wont blow you away, and the guys dont change the songs much. It would have been better if they had done a few songs from the post-damaged albums.

Dwarves
Dwarves Must Die CD

Dwarves Must Die is one of the better Dwarves albums. Its probably more diverse that others as well, with some rap, hardcore, and surf-pop stuff in it too. 9 out of the 15 songs are 2 minutes or under, and there is a lot of stuff about the kids doing sex and drugs, so it will probably make any dwarves fans happy. The best songs are Fuck, Eat Fuck You Up, Runaway#2 and Massacre.

Joe Jack Talcum
Home Recordings 1984-1997 CD

Joe Jack Talcum/Butterfly Fairweather/Joe Genaro has always been known for his bratty and cutesy vocals and awkward yet irresistible guitar playing, and this album doesn’t disappoint. Whereas in his other musical projects he had to work with others, this album is 100% pure Joe Jack, and it definitely shows, as most of the songs are acoustic numbers. So if you love Joe Jack, and who doesn't, then this is for you. Remember though, this is home recordings- so don't expect a rich, full orchestra of detailed compositions like the Butterfly Joe CD, or Soul Rotation, or you might be disappointed. On the other hand, if you want a CD that highlights the Joe Jack Talcum charm and style that we all love, then this is for you.

Vision -Detonate CD

Vision
Detonate CD

Detonate, is kind of like a cross between hardcore, and pop, and I mean that in a good way. Detonate is hard, fast and heavy, like Pennywise, or Death By Stereo, but also with a great sing-along-ability of Blink 182. The only other CD of theirs I've got is Watching The World Burn, and this is more of the same, but with better written lyrics. This and doesn’t seem to get the recognition they deserve.

Fingers Cut Megamachine
Fingers Cut, Megamachine CD

This is the new band from Devon from Osker, and it's very easy to see the progression from Treatment 5 to Idle Will Kill to Color Tub to FCMM S/T. The production of this record is much better than all of FCMM's previous work and it is the first FCMM release to include the lyrics.

Lyrically, the songs are filled with metaphors and are obscure enough that you will not completely get the songs first (or 20th) time around, but its very interesting stuff.

The music ranges from the softer acoustic stuff like Yellow Cross, and Release Me, to the more (relatively) heavier and faster stuff like Backseat and Orange Barrel.
