What can one say? It's the Pogues. A very good collection covering their various styles. A little traditional, a little cajun, and a bit of old melodic punk. One of the greatest bands to listen to while cracking a few beers and hanging with the crew. WARNING...Beer plus the Pogues could turn into a wonderful drunken brawl.
I was skeptical when I first put this disc on and was turned off at first. After a couple of spins it started to grow on me. A bit like old Alkaline Trio (Goddammit style) with a harder edge. Once you get hooked its hard to stop listening.
This album is definately a weak outing from a band that made its name being angry and loud. Lyrically it shows that they're getting older and trying desperately to get a hold on to the new school crowd. I would stick with their previous outings, especially "Living In Exile" or "Wasted Youth Brew". Remember them for what they were.
