Rancid
Let The Dominoes Fall CD

This is Rancid at their most diverse, bouncing around like they did on Life Won't Wait. Any element of Rancid you may have come to love can be found somewhere on this album, from straight-forward Rancid punk rock like "New Orleans" (my favorite song on the album) to the ska-tinged "Up To No Good" and even some much more subdued acoustic and drums feel of "Civilian Ways". Bottom line, there's something for every picky bastard on here, and a lot to love if you're not a nose-in-the-air street-punk-or-nothing kinda kid. All in all, a great record. "I Ain't Worried" is the only track I wish had been cut, as it would fit much better on a Transplants album.

Mighty Mighty Bosstones
Pin Points And Gin Joints CD

This is without the best CD I have purchased in a long time, but to be fair I'm biased. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones are my favorite band of all time, so of course I'm going to like the album. All the same at first listen I was slightly disappointed, as it struck me as slow. Now though, I can't stop listening to it and listen to it two or three times a day. There is not one song on here I don't like, but "I Wrote It" and "Death Valley Vipers" are my early favorites. If you've ever enjoyed the Bosstones, then buy this CD. It is their first full length in seven years, and well worth the wait. I even bought a second copy for my brother so I could give it five stars on interpunk. It's just that good.

Teenage Bottlerocket
They Came From The Shadows CD

When I first heard Teenage Bottlerocket, I couldn't help but think that the Ramones had been brought back to the stage and studio. This record changes that, as it doesn't give me quite the Ramones vibe, but it's not a bad thing by any means. This to me is Teenage Bottlerocket breaking into their own sound, and it's an awesome record. Every song is good, though my personal favorites as yet are "Bigger Than Kiss", "Forbidden Planet", and "They Came From The Shadows".

Lillingtons
The Too Late Show CD

As soon as I heard "The Russians Are Coming" off of the Backchannel Broadcast, I knew I loved the Lillingtons. So upon hearing they had a new record coming out, I was thrilled...took me till now to buy it, but I love it. It's got the same ridiculous sci-fi and Cold-War / James Bond themes, and the music is sharp as ever. The only thing about this record that makes me sad is that the Lillingtons are done and gone...and I never got to see them.

Pennywise
The Fuse CD

First and foremost, this is another kick ass Pennywise album. Fans of the band will not be disappointed, as they stay true to their time tested sound and manage to throw in a few new hooks, without sacrificing their rage. While the entire album is powerful and enjoyable, it is in the latter tracks that the album really shines. Tracks like "Fox TV" and "Premeditated Murder" are some of the best on the album, while openers "Knocked Down" and "Yell Out" maintain the band's edge. All in all, not a drastic depart from the Pennywise sound, but a great album and well worth a listen or 15.

Street Dogs
Back To The World CD

BACK TO THE WORLD is an absolutely amazing CD! Every track grabs you with pure heart and passion, then beats you down with kickass riffs, lyrics, and drums. From the opening anthem "Strike A Blow", which beckons listeners to "pump fists and advocate for rock-n-roll" you're in for one hell of a ride. The band highlights subjects from community pride and personal reliance to the heartfelt wishes of a soldier in the desert and government deception. I do not think it would be possible to listen to this CD without feeling at least one or two tracks really pull your at your heart, because the sincerity in this half hour of music is far beyond anything else out there today. Buy this album. You'll regret it if you don't.
