Chamberlain
Fate's Got A Driver CD

Fate's Got a Driver is one of the best emo albums I've ever heard. It's not poppy like Saves the Day or any of those bands; it's dark, brooding, angry, original, hurt music. While my favorite Chamberlain album remains Moon My Saddle, which came after this one; Fate's is still incredible. It features Chamberlain before their journey into the land of the blues, and it shows so much promise and ability.

The standout tracks (#6 and #8) alone justify buying this. If you're curious about Chamberlain I guess this is the better buy out of their albums; it's their most accessible as far as the punk audience is concerned.

What an incredible band.

AFI
Black Sails In The Sunset CD

My old copy of Black Sails was finally destroyed after years of playing; and buying my second copy also enables me to say to everyone here that this is the AFI album you should buy first. There are better songs on subsequent albums, but this is by far their most solid release alltogether. The first album by the "new" AFI, featuring Jade on guitar, is a hardcore classic, and if you call yourself an AFI fan, this is beyond essential. Sing the Sorrow might be darker; and Art of Drowning might be more melodic, but this is where AFI first began to shine. And it's awesome.

Chamberlain
Moon My Saddle CD

Chamberlain's music reeks of whisky and late indian summer evenings; heartbreak and memories of golden days now past. Allthough this album might sound too country/blues for some, it's "emo" as true as any, and Chamberlains best by far. Give it a shot because this is what you should listen to when you're lonely as hell. Just don't expect it to sound like Fate's Got a Driver. This is the grown-up Chamberlain.

Warped Tour Compilation 2001 CD

After Give Em The Boot 2, this is probably the best comp I`ve ever heard. There`s only like 5 songs I don`t like, which leaves over 20 awesome (unreleased!) tunes. For nine lousy bucks you get amazing, UNRELEASED songs from AFI, Anti-Flag, Vandals, Ataris, No Use For A Name, and The Living End, plus loads more. There`s oi!, ska, emo, pop-punk, hardcore... I like it alot. I would buy it, and I did.
