Break The Silence
Near Life Experience CD

I love this cd, and it gets played at least once a week, which isnt bad considering i have an extensive music collection. They sound very close to rise against, except harder, faster, and with a deeper more well produced sound. Dan Precision is a great guy who owns the Bombshelter Studio in Chicago, and this is his band after he left Rise Against. Obviously Break The Silence is the band he wanted to have, and the direction Rise Against would have gone in had he not left. This band is also amde up of ex members of a small chicago band called All Else Fails, who played great melodic hardcore. I havent been able to find a new copy of thier cd, but if you can i strongly recommend you pick that up as well.

This cd is very well produced and is a must have for melodic hardcore fans, and for those who are just getting into the genere. It won an award for best Punk album of 2004, or something like that. Hopefully thier new album, due out this year, will be just as good

'Exits & Escapes' CD

Exhaustra plays amazing melodic hardcore and they will undoubtly get signed to a major label very soon. It sounds close to other major melodic hardcore bands such as rise against and Break the Silence, except with a softer more eerie feeling to it. The lyrics focus on the emotional side of life, are catchy and haunting at times. This cd is great from first song to last, with really technical intricate sounds and guitar lines. Everyone should own a copy of this cd, i have shared this band with alot of people, and no one has ever not liked it.

Somewhere Between Apprehension And Disillusion CD

I personally prefered their debut full length, but this cd is awesome as well. Oversight plays a distinctive brand of technical energetic skate punk similar to Deviates. If this is your first experience with Oversight, i would buy thier other cd first
