A Life Once Lost
Open Your Mouth For The Speechless (Reissue) + Bonus Tracks CD

Well, this is a great cd.I wouldn't say it's ground breaking, because it isn't.But, it's a great metal album. The one set back is the vocals.Although the high pitch screams are simply blood curdling, you can't really understand what he's screaming. And, there aren't any lyrics with the booklet. So, that kinda sucks.I like to understand what people are saying on their albums. But it makes up for it musically. The guitars are just beautiful.Absolute breakneck, hardcore breakdowns to tear jerking picking riffs. The drums are great.Very clear.I like the two demos from "The Fourth Plague" the best.Very cool.Vocals are a little more audible. And you can really hear the progress the band has made between the two recordings.I can't wait to hear their Ferret Records debut titled "Hunter."It should be out this summer.Keep and eye out for these guys. They have serious potential. And it shows on this album.

Not Waving But Drowning
An Anthology Of Sorts (Complete Discography) CD

I first saw this band live here in Des Moines in 2000 with another band named Kanvas(RIP).I liked them a lot and couldn't find any of there stuff anywhere.I finally broke down and looked on e-bay and found "If It's Too Cute...Set It On Fire."It's alright. The music is great early ninties hardcore. The vocals are kinda irritating after a while. The lyrics are kinda shallow too.Not much innovation.I love some of the guitar picking.Pretty cool.Nothing too special from the rythem section though, but they do what's needed. All in all. It's an o.k. cd.Nothing to rush right out and buy.I don't remember them sounding at all like this years ago, but at that time, I was new to hardcore and things have changed a lot since then which they tend to do.I can't believe some of the members went off to start Open Hand.

Fused Together In Revolving Doors CD

This album is insane. This band is the best of both metal and hardcore worlds. The vocals are great ranging from ear piercing shrieks of violence and terror, to low growling death threats. The lyrics are so graphic and cryptic.Like the words from the diary of a serial killer. The guitars are brutally technical yet raunchy with the some of the best breakdowns recorded. The drums are clear and audible.Between break-neck speeds to grinding, slow breakdowns. And, the fillers are awesome.I heard of this band on the Hellfest Vol.3 DVD and instantly fell in love.A must have for any lovers of the above mentioned genres.Grade A material.

Number Twelve Looks Like You
An Inch Of Gold For An Inch Of Time CD

Where to start with this album?Well, it's a masterpiece. The guitar work is just beautiful.I love the vocals.Dual-vocals, one with ear piercing, high-pitched shrieks. The other with low, death metal growls. This is just a great aggressive album. It kinda reminds me of Between the Buried and Me.Great hardcore album. If you like hard, aggressive rock music, purchase this album. If you buy it and you don't just love it,you're gay.

P.S.I'm not Chelsea, I'm Patrick.

Agoraphobic Nosebleed -Altered States Of America 3

Agoraphobic Nosebleed
Altered States Of America 3" CD

First: I'm not Chelsea, I'm Patrick, Chelsea's husband.Second:That Samuel kid below me sounds like a water for brains retard. If he talks the way he write, it's no wonder he's probably a virgin.I guess Canada's education on grammar and punctuation is a little different then here in the states. Now, to the review. This album is fucking crazy.OH MY GOD.I don't know what else to say.I can't believe what they do.They literally push the limits of politically correct. They don't seem to give a fuck.I love the music. The drums are the best whether it's a drum machine or a real drummer. They kick ass.The lyrics are just insane.I love this album.A must buy.

Death By Stereo
If Looks Could Kill, I'd Watch You Die CD

My name isn't Chelsea, it's Patrick. This is my wife's account and she ordered this cd for me for Christmas.I love this cd.This is one of the best hardcore bands.I prefer their older stuff to the new stuff. The drums are just killer and the guitar work is perfect.Efrem's vocals are top notch. The cd is very raw but just beautiful.I can't go on with out this cd.I already owned it before this, but because this cd is so goddamned good, someone stole it.I would recommend this cd to everyone I know if everyone I know didn't already own it.
