Queers Don't Back Down (2017 Reissue with 3 Bonus Tracks) CD
Most Queers fans will tell you this is their best release, and they're right. Everything they achieved pretty much culminated on this album. The part Ramones, part Beach Boys, part Black Flag punk rock style they created is epitomized here. It's full of gloriously sweet pop-punk gems like Punk Rock Girls, Born to do Dishes, Number One, and Janelle Janelle. But the band mixes it up too, with some faster and rawer tracks like I'm Okay You're Fucked, just to keep the variety going. Killer surprises abound, like the gorgeous guest vocals on the last track. If you want to get one Queers album, this is the one it should be. They've never been able to do anything close again. Not only that, but this record is just plain punk rock history. You owe it to yourself to own this.

Retarded/Apers Split (Reissue) CD
This is one of the best CDs in my collection. Retarded and The Apers were pretty much the last word when it came to European pop punk back when this came out, in my opinion, and this split showcases some of the best material from both. The Retarded side opens it up proper with lightning-fast, 100% Ramones punk-pop, not to mention a few highly entertaining, poorly constructed English phrases. The disc even comes with lyrics, so you can tell what they all are! The Apers side isn't quite as great as Retarded's, but it's got some of my favorite Apers songs, most notably Principal's Daughter and Spend Your Weekends With Me. If you're new to the whole European Stardumb scene, this should be one of the first things you buy; if you're not, you better already have it!
