This CD is the shit! Great, pissed-off political punk/ska. The Stza's vocals are awesome and so is the music. There is not a song on here I don't like. Not even one. My favorites are probably Gang Control, Super Tuesday and Soon We'll Be Dead, but they're all fucking awesome. LOC got creative with this CD. There are intros and all that shit, and violins on some of the tracks. I wouldn't have thought violins would fit in with music like this but for some reason it really works.
The lyrics are awesome for two reasons.
1) LOC actually has something intelligent to say. They aren't all emo or singing about being punk the way some bands do. And the issues they sing about are both original and important.
2) Unlike Rancid, who they bash deservedly in Clear Channel (Fuck Off!) they don't tone down their message to appeal to the mainstream. A lot of what they say is controversial but they don't give a fuck and that's awesome. It's great to see that not all bands are willing to sell out to gain mainstream acceptance.
This CD is the shit! Drunken Scottish punx, what more could ya want? Fuckin' awesome, man..." 'Cross The Ocean" is a kick-ass song, and so is "Get Lost." If you're a fan of Flogging Molly or the Dropkick Murphys then I would sure as hell recommend this!
