Plea For Peace/Take Action Sampler CD

This is an above average Compilation cd. The fact that more than half the songs are rare/live is a pretty good selling point and the CD doesn't dissapoint. The rare songs are worth it, especially since they are from some of my favorites like At the Drive In and Grade. Overall this CD has a diffrent sound then most compilations as it doesn't foucus on a specific genre of music. If you are looking for pop-punk ala NFG this isn't really your CD. It has a more rough sound, with many bands leaning towards the harder edge of punk. I think this is a good thing but many might not. I say give it whirl anyway, it's cheap and you're bound to find a bunch of songs you do enjoy!

This EP absoultley ROCKS! If you are a Mad Caddies fan you must own this EP. Considering the lackluster effort on "Rock the Plank" this CD is a better choice. Hopefully the boys in MCs will get their act together and release another full-length that is as good as this EP. Buy this CD!!

This CD is more of the same. Don't get em wrong I like it alot, but it doesn't break any new ground for NFG or the pop/emo/punk genre in general. Still I highly recomend it to fans of NFG or of pop-punk as it has soild, catchy tunes that you will listen to over and over. I'm still waiting for NFG to do something NEW though. Ah well...

Ah. I was so happy to see a new EP from MTX, then I listened to it and was horrified. This EP could be the worst MTX music I have ever heard. I have loved MTX ever since I first saw them live over two years ago, but this latest effort has left me wondering what went wrong. The music is slow, cliched whine rock, not the powerful fun pop punk of old. I warn you heavily, unless you are a die hard MTX fan don't buy this album. Pick up and older release, you will be pleased. All I can say is MTX, better luck next time...
