They're Only Chasing Safety CD

What's the big deal with this? Every person I've talked to about this CD says it's fucking amazing. It doesn't really rock my socks off. And I like most music along these lines, even bands that most people would say suck ass. Is it a good CD? Yeah, but I've heard better from the type of music they're attempting to make. They have definitely changed from The Changing of Times, and I personally like that one better. Their attempt of blending emo with hardcore like many bands attempt to do today isn't great.

I like this CD. But it's not as great as people are giving it credit for.

Hawthorne Heights
Silence In Black And White CD

There's no other way to say this except that Hawthorne Heights kicks ass. They are a truly talented band, and the addition of the third guitar is an excellent idea. It really sounds like a mixture of Taking Back Sunday and Thursday, but you can also hear hints of other bands in there as well. I'd buy it even if you don't like postcore; you may change your mind about it.

One For The Kids CD

In some ways, I like the older version of Yellowcard better than I like the new, mainly because its just traditional upbeat punk with a violin added into it. However, in other ways there is no comparison to Ocean Avenue. But either way, this band is amazing, and always has been. If you're not into extremely poppy stuff, and more into straight-up punk, go for this. But if you're more into new New Found Glory and Simple Plan and the like, then go for Ocean Avenue. I have both, and I love both. But what really depends is just your style of music.

Remember Right Now CD

This is put simply a great pop punk band, but they're not too poppy that they'll make it to MTV. They sound very similar to Jimmy Eat World with more of a punk/emo catch to them. It's just a good CD to listen to. They're much more melodic than other pop punk bands like Rufio or The Starting Line. And the lyrics are all very emotional which is a plus because it's straight from the heart. I recommend it to anyone who likes pure pop punk. If you're more into postcore/screamo, then you may not like it.

Senses Fail
From the Depths of Dreams [Explicit Content] CD

This CD is really really good. The way they fuse emo and hardcore really blends well with they way they play. They are one of the few bands that combine these genres well. There is also lots of melodies on this, which sets it apart from most other screamo/post hardcore bands. Although it's short, you'll want to keep listening for a while. It's not a CD that gets old fast. I have no doubts their new CD will be simply amazing. If you really like this band, I would also check out Glasseater, Thrice, or Boys Night Out. But it is definitely a good buy. And it's definitely worth the $8.50 by far.
