Weakerthans
Left And Leaving CD

Alright, I picked up Reconstruction Site quite sometime ago at Media Play and I got into it pretty quickly. It had a really good sound anyhow I was really getting anxious for some other Weakerthans material after some time and I never saw other albums in stores so I bought this off Interpunk. Some of these songs are amazing and some are just too bland...hmmm....neither album was perfect (haven't heard Fallow yet) anyhow....

This is still too good of a album to pass up...many great songs and I'll just say when the album track more than lives up to the album name it is worth the purchase.

I Hate Myself
Ten Songs CD

Alright this review might be kind of weird, but here it goes. I'm a pretty big punk fan, been into 88 Fingers Louie for sometime and the song "I hate myself" off 'Behind Bars' has been a anthem of mine for a couple years. Well a few weeks ago add lots of alcohol random browsing for new music on this site and a comparison to Sunny Day Real Estate and I immediately added this to my cart. Anyhow I'm mostly pleased. This album gets a solid three. Definitely no Sunny Day Real Estate (and I did give this album quite a few binge plays too ha) but it is pretty good anyhow.

If you got ten bucks to spend and you are pretty bummed, I'd pick it up.

Alright I get to be the first one to write a review. Anyhow most of the setlist on this dvd comes from their earlist material. The concert was also pretty entertaining, but I didn't understand why the video was so grainy. The interviews were pretty good, especially Jack's where he talks about how everyone hated him and sabotaged his car and it blew up while he was driving it.

Anyhow this is probably only a three, but I like T.S.O.L quite a bit so I'm going to give it a 4 and say that it is worth getting this. I'm giving it another viewing now. Jack Grisham rocks!

Dismissed CD

This is their newer album, I got this one at the same time. Personally I like their first release better actually, but this one could grow on me more. Anyhow CBGAV uses their two vocalists more on this album and I think it works out well. Personally I like the more abrasive vocals on this album better than the vocals on the Lawrence Arms (I really was disapointed by their Greatest Story so Far after all the hype and praise I heard about it).

Anyways I just think that particular vocal style is better in this band. I'd pick this one up too. Don't know what they've been up to lately (their site hasn't been updated in awhile), but their cds are cheap so I suggest picking them both up!

Well I've known about this band for a few months. I was just bored and was just browsing bands on interpunk to see if any band names caught my eye and this band name did because I am a big Peanuts fan even though I guess they aren't particularily influenced by Charles Schulz.

Anyhow I really like this album a lot! If you like the Lawrence Arms or Jawbreaker you'd like this. The description for this band's release is very accurate and for the price if you like any sort of punk I'd pick it up. Great lyrics too and a great sound! I've listened to it quite a lot since I bought it and I don't see myself getting bored with it anytime soon.
