Hawnay Troof
Who Likes Ta? CD

Shit is brilliant. Ultra-dirty, sexxxy party rap from members of XBXRX. The songs are short, but they would probably get old quick if they were any longer. Hell, they even sample an Erase Errata song. Buy this and piss of your parents.

State Of The Union CD

A very solid comp from Dischord. This was put out in the late '80s to benefit the homeless. There are a few standout tracks on here: One Last Wish, 3, Fugazi, Ignition, etc. However, there are a few tracks on here that were way too "alternative rock" for me. Because of those few tracks, it loses a star. Buy this if you want.

If you liked their first record, there's a chance that you might hate this. It's way more unstructured and wild than their first record. A lot more saxaphone on this one. In my opinion, this is ten times better than their first. It's the best album of the year so far. Buy this now.

Briefs
Sex Objects CD

This is by far the Briefs' weakest album. There's a lot of slower, more pop-y songs on it. However, a few tracks save it from completely sucking. If you have a few extra bucks, and you have their other albums, buy this. If not, start with "Hit After Hit".

Das Oath
Uber Alles Collection CD

The best hardcore release I've heard in ages. This band has members of all your favorite bands from the past 10 years. You can hear Larm, Pandemonium, and BGK in their thrash-core insanity. Great vocals, lyrics, and music. Seriously, buy this, or else. Time to die you're next.

Canada Songs CD

Pure fucking grind madness. Frantic tempo changes. Maniacally screamed vocals. Nonsensical lyrics. If you're heard Arab On Radar before, Daughters use the same slide-guitar techinque. Instead of power chords, these guys basically pick random notes out and play them as fast as they can. Fucking essential.

Man Is The Bastard
Mancruel CD

The original powerviolence band. These guys are fucking brutal. They manage to capture fury and doom on record like no other. This CD has a bunch of really heavy, brutal tracks and a few electronic 'noise' songs. If you like music that isn't shitty, then buy this.

Death From Above
Heads Up CD

Nice, fast hardcore-influenced new wave. Bass and drums combo with former members of Black Cat #13. This is a very good EP. Pick this up if you are into Lightning Bolt, Black Cat #13, or maybe even Moving Units.

If you like bands like The Locust, Daughters, or The Number 12 Looks Like You, buy this. Insane grind with synth on some songs. This is one of the most brutal, grating records of the year. This is a must-buy.

East bay hardcore. Similar to Born Against and lots of Ebullition bands. The packaging is really awesome. You get lots of songs for your money, so buy it. It's worth it.
