When I recieved this DVD I was really excited. I thought I was getting awesome, classic Circle Jerks and T.S.O.L. footage. And that's what you get, but the T.S.O.L. footage, though good, is rather boring. They only do one song - "Silent Scream" and it's kinda boring. There was also bands that I haven't heard before such as Circle One, Symbol Six, Sin 34 and Red Cross (before they had to change their name to Redd Kross). The Circle One stuff is okay, but I don't think that they're that good of a band. Red Cross is also good, as is Symbol Six. But the only bands that really stand out are the Circle Jerks, and Sin 34. Fear is on here too, but it's not too good. Oh yeah, Black Flag is too, but the commentary just plays over the footage because Greg Ginn had to be an asshole and request that his name, the band name, logo, and music not be seen or played. Overall, it's good to borrow from a friend, but not really worth buying unless you're into hardcore SoCal stuff.

This DVD isn't that great. The Fear, Wasted Youth and TSOL footage are ok. But I'd never heard any of the other bands in here that are shown extensivly. Also, you may be wondering why is say, "Rollins, Dukowski, Robo & Dez" instead of just "Black Flag." Well that's because Greg Ginn wouldn't give them authorization to play his music or show his face, so on that part you just get to see Henry rocking out with the audio commentary for that part plays. Pretty weak. If you love Circle One and Sin 34, get this because it has a lot of them in it.

Not really wortht he money but does have its high points. Its cool to see a peformance by TSOL in there prime(but you can only real see jack grisham). Not what I expect but I great watch for people interested in old hardcore. Did I mention peformances by the circle jerks?

cool fuckin movie documenting LA hardcore in it;s early days. If bands like FEAR and CIRCLE ONE make you shit your pants, then pick this up. It's worth getting for the Circle One footage alone.
