River City Rebels

Racism, Religion and War

Victory 1232

Released on August 22, 2000

$11.50
Buy

A full-on old-school sounding punk rock attack from this heavily political, seven-piece street-rocking teenage band. Taking the necessary three-chord attack, the group adds horns, raw melodics and fiery idealism to create a boisterous and vibrant in your face sound. Fourteen songs, produced by JIM SEAGALL (DROPKICK MURPHYS, BLOOD FOR BLOOD, MIGHTY BOSSTONES).

I first saw this guys at the Suicide Christmas show. A-fucking-mazing live show. their cd doesn't capture their energy too well, but it's still good. i highly suggest it. only 4 stars because their live shows blow the hell out of their cds.

Only a few bands like Operation Ivy have been able to incorporate streetpunk and ska in such an effective manner to be enjoyable. This being what I thought, their best album, the River City Rebels incorporate just the right ammount of horns with power chord fury and vocals to get any circle pit moving. If you like Ska or streetpunk this is something to buy.

This is classic river city rebels, though i was a little dissapointed. Everyone said that this is suppossed to be their best cd but i think that their latest album is way better, but get this if you are an RCR fan.

wow. super catchy, super fun. these guys are pretty fun live too. if your looking for somehting really inovative and complex, etc...dont look here. because of its wonderful simplicity this albumn gets a five...but don't buy the other ones...they've gone downhill. well i have also "living to play playing to live"...and it's pretty bad. i'm glad i go tthis one first so didn't get completely turned off to them from the get go.

Wow this shit is amazing. This stuff is skapunk like operation ivy or suicide machines. This is own of the best fucking cds I have. You should buy this because you probably already like the band considering your reading this. Great fucking cd, deserves ten stars.

Booooooooo! This looked cool but it barely made it through the first listen. After two times it hasn't been out of its case. I am extremely dissapointed. Once again get Suicide Machines, Op Ivy, Against All Authority, or Voodoo Glow Skulls instead.

This is an amazing release from an amazing band. When I first read the lyrics I thoguht, "O, just another lame street punk band" but I was amazed when I listened to it. I've had it only 2 weeks and I know all the lyrics. If you like The Unseen, The Casualties, stuff like that, buy this album.
