I've loved this album for a long time, and i finally decided to order one of my favorite albums ever on VINYL.
the description says on RED WAX. welp, it's NOT. it's on black wax. I sent interpunk and email and they never mailed me back about it as if they didn't care. don't buy the vinyl, go look on ebay for it.

This record is a rarity, dynamic, intelligent, unconventional songwriting set to music that sounds like early Fugazi evolved through Tim Kasher's tortured throat and into something all together more sinister and sensitive at the same time. Not many other bands do music this good, and even fewer do it this well.
The conceptual side of this record is amazing as well. The part where Tim shouts "I threw out the phone to try to get through to you." doesn't feel like a musical moment, it feels like the climax of an epic film about a divorce that shook the earth.
RIYL: Weakerthans, anything on Saddle Creek, Thursday, ATDI, Blood Bros.White Octave, Criteria, et al.

Another amazing album from cursive. Slightly older then their brand new release "the ugly organ" this album also flows from song to song. It's a series of ups and downs. I honestly cannot rate cursives music high enough...one of the most talented and unclassifiable bands ever.

This was my first Cursive album - and I must commend myself on the purchase. Great album. Great vocals. Great lyrics. Great instrumentation...well, you get it. I try to compare bands to other bands on this website, but I can't compare these guys to anyone. I think this may be a little bit better than The Ugly Organ, but they are both amazing cds. The emotions of Tim Kasher are VERY evident here - damn good shit.

This is the greatest album I've heard in my life. That is not an overstatement, I truly believe that this album is perfect. The album is a story of Tim Kasher's divorce, and is simply brilliant. If you are a fan of any music, I don't care what genre, buy this now, Cursive deserves it, and you won't be sorry.
