This is the 2nd best Clash cd. Nothing can beat London Calling. The debut albums from one of the best bands of all time. Buy London Calling and then this.

wonderful fucking album! i love the clash so much. i first heard of them from london calling. then i bought combat rock. too really good albums that had alot of experimentation on it (espeically combat rock). i knew this was going to be a more of a punk record, of which it was, but every song is different and original. strummer is an amazing lyricists with messages i strongly agree with. the clash are possibly the greatest band in rock and roll ever.

This is a great Clash CD. You gotta love it. My favorite songs are White Riot, Complete Control, and Clash City Rockers. BUT, if you're looking for your first Clash album, get London Calling.

This is a top notch album but order it from interpunk and you'll get the American version with the tracks that were added in '79. Not that thats a bad thing, but except for whit man in hammersmiths palais, the stuff they added isnt very good and the UK release was much more solid and consistent. That being said, to not own this is to not own a piece of punk history. This is probably one of the most iconic music albums of all time and bands today still rip this one off constantly. Even the stiff little fingers, who were around at the same time attribute this album to their own sound. I personally like the second one give em enough rope a bit better becuase of it tighter production adn variety of songs but that isnt for everyone and this one is. You need to get this especially if you havent heard the best of it, like "career opportunities" "white riot" "complete control" and "londons burning"

The best Clash cd in my opinion.

The songs are nonstop action and they just keep comin'. The highlights are Clash City Rockers, Complete Control, White Riot, (White Man) In Hammersmith Palais, I Fought The Law, Janie Jones, Career Opputunities, Hate and War, and Garageland. But, all of the songs are great punk songs from one if the greatest punk bands EVER!!!!

This cd is recommended for Clash fans, or punk fans in general. But if you are looking to get into the Clash for the first time, definately pick up London Calling first.

I WANNA BE A CLASH CITY ROCKER FOREVER!!! this album is just so remarkable and great...without THE CLASH their wouldnt be SKA! this has their least amount of pop or rock n roll which is why its them at their best...its so snotty and angry and passionate and energetic that you cant help but want to dance all night (sound kinda likeTHE RAMONES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)...best songs are "Career oppertunities" "Londons Burning" "I Faught The Law" (LISTEN TO THE DEAD KENNEDYS VERSION!!!)"(White Man) In Hammersmith Palais" "Im so bored With The U.S.A." "Whats My Name" and last butt not least "Police & Theives" It is the essential punk album (wow honest advertisement) you should also get Give Em Some Rope and London Calling and Sandinista! and Combat Rock and all their videos also...Joe was the best!!!

Brilliant fucking record. I have had a the original copy of the CD for a couple years and then when Joe died I decided I would get the remastered version. You can definitely tell a difference in sound. All I can say about the album for those who havent heard The Clash is that it's a must for any CD collection.
