Swingin' Utters/Youth Brigade

Split Series Vol. 2

BYO 65

The second in BYO's new series of split albums pits two of the scene's most loved in a head-to-head battle royale. S.F. street heroes the SWINGIN' UTTERS start the nonsense with six new tracks that, like, totally rock, while old school veteranos YOUTH BRIGADE show how it's done with six of their own anthemic, oi-styled blasts. Includes liner notes written by respected music journalists.

This is the best of the BYO split series (yes better then Rancid/Nofx). Swingin Utters have 6 BAD FUCKIN ASS songs. The last one "'39" is a Queen cover, anyone who knows the songs original version will love the Utters version. Youth Brigade does what they do best, rock the fuck out. This cd is a must have for any Utters or Brigade fans. you will not be disappointed.

Probably the best split in my opinion. Swingin Utters offer some of there best songs ever, including "Angels pissing on your head" and "You haven't seen yourself in years" Simply amazing. The Youth Brigade stuff is really good too. While I would have been happier with more utters songs, this release is still really good, much better than the NOFX/Rancid split they put out after this. BUY BUY BUY!

SO AMAZINGLY GOOD! talk about a match made in heaven! Let's hear it for Johnny and Shawn! All of these split series CDs are really good. NOFX/Rancid and Alkaline Trio/HWM are the best besides this one.

WHAT CAN I SAY? BOTH THESE BANDS KICK ASS AND THEY SHOW IT ON THIS SPLIT. IF YOU ARE A FAN OF EITHER THE SWINGIN UTTERS OR YOUTH BRIGADE BUY THIS CD. IF NOT THEN GET A LIFE AND BUY IT ANYWAYS CUZ YOU WILL GROW TO LIKE IT.
