Bigwig

Stay Asleep

Kung Fu 78772

Released on August 3, 1999

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

BIG WIG play fast, intricate MELODIC PUNK ROCK and they do it as good as or better than any band out there. They remind most people of a cross between the Bouncing Souls and a Fat Wreck band. In fact, just after Kung Fu bought this record from Fearless, Fat Wreck tried to buy it from them. Fourteen songs produced by Donell Cameron and Jim Goodwin.

Bigwig is the shit. Although Reclamation is by far their best cd, in my opinion, this disc is alright. It has a few too many slow numbers on it for my taste, but it is strait up punk rock just how I like it. Good music to listen to while- driving 150 mph on the highway.

Even though they are not around anymore this cd is still great. A good mix of screams and melodies. You cant beat that!

This cd is ok, but nothing really out of the ordinary. There are a few really good songs, like Flavor Ice and Sellout and 1-800-Whipped, but other songs on it suck, like Falling Down and Numbers. Also, the 50 or so tracks of silence are really annoying and not worth listening to for the crappy song at four minutes through track 69. If you are into both hardcore and slower more layed back mellow music, it's for you - but to me it seems like two thngs not to mix, at least not to this extent.

This CD is really good... For those of you who like an up tempo, technical sound, this is just what you want. The vocals are great and you get what you pay for with 14 tarcks. This is one of the many great bands on Kung-Fu and you should definately check out some of the bands on the label... Overall, I would recommend purchasing this CD and all of BuigWig's others... Probably the only downside to it is that there are a few slow songs that can get kinda irritating...

GAVIN...
