Elektra 60856

Released on April 18, 1989

Combining jagged, roaring guitars and stop-start dynamics, intertwining male-female harmonies, and evocative, cryptic lyrics, the Pixies Elektra Records debut has become one of the most influential American alternative rock records of the late '80s.

Pixies = Good! You already know how influential and great they are, and how this album’s a classic. That’s all I really got to say.

This is one of the best albums I have purchased in a long time. But, don't buy it if you are looking for a straigt-ahead punk album. It is quite experimental. An evident Nirvana influence.
