Perfecto!Great cd. "ALternative Ulster" is one of the best punk rock songs ever released. Up there with "God Save the Queen","Now I Wanna Sniff some Glue" and "Complete Control".The whole cd is like The Clash's S/T.Great buy

BTW,the review for "Nobodies Hero's" That i wrote, its wrong. I give it 4 stars. Lacks great vox.

I got this cd for my girlfriend and we listened to it together and I said,"What pile of shit put this record out." I look down at the cover and it was EMI. Go figure EMI would put out such a lousy record. Well if you buy it, be ready to be dissipointed

IRA inspired rebelious punk from a highly under-rated band that shaped punk rock and spoke for thousands with their call to arms for all the tired and oppressed of Ireland. Raw emotion collides with angst riddled music to create a genuinely unique blend of punk and politics. If Anti-Flag, Minor Threat, Black Flag, DK, Propagandhi or new "I love Politics" NOFX are your gig then buy this album immediately, old school blueprints for the new school sociopunks

Great. I love this cd. If you like The Clash, then you should definatly check this band out. The guitars on this release just throw themselves in you face. The vocals have a sound of urgency that you rarely hear in most bands, past and present. And lyrically, intellegent and passionate. Get this.

This album is a classic, if you like UK Punk, its a must have. Doesn't really sound like the pistols like I expected they would, they have their own sound for most of the songs. The rest seem to be the generic 70s punk sound. Nonetheless, buy it.

This CD was pretty awesome. It had that old school punk sound and I loved it. If you don't like old school then punch yourself in the face. But If you do like Old School then buy this CD, its freakin awesome. I give it 5 stars.

Great old school punk. Each song is as good as the last(except for closed groove, but the lyrics are cool). It's got a bitchin' Bob Marley cover (Johnny Was), and the interview at the end is cool...i guess...if you're in to that...kind of stuff.Buy it or i'll come to your house and throw glass bottles at your face.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW this is the most amazing thing i've ever heard! its awesome punk, but its not too hardcore, and slf have got ideas other than hatred and anarchy. This is my favorite album, the best one i own. get this, not thier new stuff first. I waited like a month for this to get in stock, and id wait again just to listen to it. Its like sex pistols and the clash put in a blender. its reeeeeeeeally good.

If you want a punk rock classic then Stiff Little Fingers "Inflammable Material" is what you need. Here you get a gritty old school sound with powerful political lyrics and some very angry & sincere vocals. "Suspect Device" and "Alternative Ulster" are obviously the two most popular and well-known Stiff Little Fingers songs but don't forget that the rest of the tracks here are all brilliant works; everything else from State Of Emergency to 78 RPM is just full of raw energy.

For some reason interpunk doesn’t have the bonus tracks listed here so I’ll tell you them; the single version of Suspect Device, 78 RPM, and a 18 minute interview with Jake Burns that gives you a informative history of the early days of SLF. So in conclusion, if you don't own this yet then what in the world are you waiting for? Enjoy!

Heart, energy, attitude, and that old '77 punk sound that we all know and love. This is one of the most inspirational punk albums I've heard to date. The guitar riffs are ear-splitting, the bass jumps the beats up energetically, the drumming is up-tempo British punk style, and the vocals are amazing. Jake Burns' voice is obviously young on this record, and the youthful anger and passion is blatant as day. SLF is pissed off on Inflammable Material, and cuts through every song like it was their last day on earth. The urgency is there throughout the entire album. There's even a reggae song in their cover of "Johnny Was", and a fantastic closing song with clever insightful lyrics about hypocrisy.

Inflammable Material is political and could very easily offend you....just the way it was back in the day. The sound is extremely brash, so if you want a polished punk sound this record is not what you're looking for.

"Barbed Wire Love" and "Alternative Ulster" are two of the best songs I've ever heard by anyone. And "Wasted Life" slices my heart to pieces with the anger present in every note. Truly great material.

Reminiscent of The Clash's first record.
