Common Rider

Last Wave Rockers

Lookout!/Panic Button 226

Released on May 25, 1999

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Ex-OPERATION IVY frontman/lyricist Jesse Michaels is back with his first real band in ten years, COMMON RIDER. Last Wave Rockers is a logical extension of OPERATION IVY, showcasing the same insightful, beautiful lyrics of that band as well as its musical abandon.

Alright, this is a good album, but I will have to say that "This Is Unity Music" is a much better album! The words are there, but the music in some songs is jsut a little boring and kinda repeatative from song to song. If you trying to decide which one to buy, just go with "This Is Unity Music"

I think this is very good. Not a classic like Operation Ivy energy but very catchy and positive lirics. Buy this CD you won't be disapointed if you like Jesse Michael.

Good fuckin' album. The music is in no way like OPIV, except for the fact that it's mostly ska based. The lyrics are just as good as OPIV lyrics(the same person is writing them after all), but they deal more with day to day problems and thoughts, more so than general human politics. Like i said it's still ska, but it's a more slow and relaxing ska and instead off blazing punk rock the ska is backed by a general rock and roll sound.

Jesse Micheals is incredible. This is an extremely well-written punk-ska cd. If your not aware, Jesse was the lead singer in the band Operation Ivy, the greatest punk-ska band ever. After they broke up, Tim Armstrong and Matt went to Rancid. After many years, Jesse formed Common Rider with some friends. They broke up two years ago, but who cares. This cd is amazing. Just listen to the first song and you'll see.

This CD is freakin Awesome. Jesse Michaels from Operation Ivy is the lead singer of Common rider and he's Awesome. I love this CD. I love every single song on this CD(except for the hidden track). It's too bad they broke up. If you don't have this CD , get it.

This cd is fucking great. super catchy, really good songs. Classics of love, carry on, walk down the river, rough redemption, and angels at play are my favorites. the hidden song is sweet too. Operation Ivy was good, but i like this better. Its very much worth looking into. Thier other cd is fantastic too.

REALLY AMAZING! If you like this though, I don't highly suggest getting This Is Unity Music. It wasn't that great, more techno-ish.

Its good. Some songs are kinda a hippie throwback sadly. I would suggest "This is Unity Music" on Hopeless Records. Its a better recond and its an absolute classic. Very original.

AWESOME RECORD!! I've wanted this cd for a while and now hearing it in it's entirety I'd have to say it's A LOT better than 'This Is Unity Music'. I think this record has more of a ska feel and I can definitely tell more passion in this record, but don't get me wrong, buy both cuz they both are SUPER RAD!

Well what can I say...it's common rider. Jesse Michaels never fails to amaze me. He is an incredible musician. It's too bad common rider broke up but get this album because it is a masterpiece. This is Unity Music is also a masterpiece. Actually all of Jesse Michaels' work can be considered a masterpiece.

Best songs are Classics of Love, Carry On, and TRUE RULERS.. Enjoy!
