Fans of current Eighteen Visions material beware! "Lifeless" is as far away from "Vanity" as "Obsession" is to "Until The Ink Runs Out". I bought this not hearing any of these original recordings, only the rerecorded songs from "The Best Of" and i found an entirely different Eighteen Visions from what I was familar with. "Lifeless" finds 18V closer to the the beginning of their musical career, with James having a deeper and much rougher vocal deliverance that is nothing like what the more current releases give. The music fits the vocals as it is also rough and tough and full of breakdowns. Don't get me wrong, this is still a good release from one of my favorite bands but it's nothing like what we may be familiar with, it's just not as enjoyable. Still, buy this along with all following releases and please make sure to see them live because it is one of the best and unforgettable shows you'll ever see. -Ben
