Desert City Soundtrack

Contents Of Distraction

Deep Elm 425

Released on October 29, 2002

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

CONTENTS OF DISTRACTION works sound and structure into an awe-inspiring, dark collection of post-hardcore brilliance that crashes head-on, explodes upwards and just keeps going and going, twisting and turning, morphing and melting. Half the time blistering and fierce with urgent intensity, the other half restrained and unearthly much like the calm before the storm. Gasping instrumentation including exquisite piano, intricate guitar work and unrelentless rhythm provides a fitting tone on themes of sadness, depression, isolation and heartache. A pandora's box of content, consequence and unprecedented musical theater.

Amazingly original. This band is so great. the best song on this CD by far is "what to do in case of fire". There is more piano in that song then there is guitar work yet it still manages to push some agression onto the listener. If you buy this(which you should) you need to let it grow on you a bit. It soon becomes a perfect CD to calm down to. Please, buy this instead of poser punk bands like NOFX, less than jake and bad religion.

wow. wowbobwow. this is so awesome. it sounds almost exactly like the black heart procession but with very passionate and intense screaming. i would by this just for "murder hearts" but the whole ep is off the chain. desert city soundtrack is your new favorite band. accept it. "from silence to violence"
