Raised Fist

Epitaph/Burning Heart 82025

Released on December 3, 2002

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

The grinding third album from Swedish hardcore heavy-hitters RAISED FIST. A top-notch hardcore album delivered in eleven meaty pieces featuring the band's crucial metallic edge, crisp production (by DANIEL BERGSTRAND, who's done Machine Head and Meshuggah), sophisticated beats, and the highest level of intensity imaginable. An uncompromising and merciless attack on pop music mediocrity.

Wow! You can see why this band's called Raised Fist. They play fast, anthemic and really distinctive hardcore - they certainly don't sound like many other bands around right now. The vocals are full of energy and passion, the riffs are striking and there's plenty to dance and run round in circles to, waving your finger!

This record is very refreshing - it's angry but not like Terror, it's positive but not like Gorilla Biscuits, it's fast but not like Agoraphobic Nosebleed. It's hardcore like Raised Fist.

the only reason i gave it a 4 and not a 5 is because it gets real repetitive. but its still tits. best song probably between the demons and message beneath contempt

Hard Fucking Core! This shit rules. Im not a big Hardcore music fan, but i like these guys for some reason. So full of energy. Starts out with the great song "get this right" and has other really good songs like "illustration of desperation". This is a great cd from start to finish. Just as good if not better than "ignoring the Guidelines" Must have for any Hardcore and punk fans.

Wow, dance metal is born!!!!

Nah, seriously this band never lets up, riffs continually pound into your head, vocals are political rants yelled out out of sheer frustration. they (the vocals) can become a tad repetitive depending on your penchant for this genre, but overall i like em.

So, i definitely recommend this band. the riffs are incredibly infectious and you'll soon be tapping your feet and banging that head!

awesome band, ignore the burning heart tag, this band are totally original and the best signing this label made since refused.

one of the best hardcore bands in my opinion. and this, their latest release truly kicks major ass. if youre a fan of YOUTH OF TODAY, BANE, INTENSITY etc then buy this. its the most powerful music ever. as a matter of fact, buy all their albums. thier all great. the sickest song on this release is the last song, "BETWEEN THE DEMONS". its got this mean metal guy as guest vocalist and its so fucking powerful.

If Bane, Reach The Sky, Ignite and The Killing Tree had a kid, it would be named Raised Fist. This is some of the best hardcore out there. Yelling, no screaming, so you can hear the lyrics clear as day and you can't help but pumping your fists in the air and shouting along as your driving along listening to this gem. This is one of the top 20 releases of 2002 in my book. Fast driven, with complex drumming, the only thing they lack is some sick guitarwork. But it doesn't matter, the guitar riffs are perfect for the music and never once did I feel they should have added a solo in here or a new riff. It's in your face, its kicking some major ass, make sure to pick this up, like, yesterday.

If you like this, check out: The Killing Tree "Romance of Helen Trent"

Check these out anyhow: Over It "Timing Is Everything" Staring Back "On"

This Cd was pretty cool but I must say if you are into the most intense rock on the earth Raised Fists' first album way way better, the old one at least had some songs that didn't sound like the previous. This one all sound the same. Did they lose that creative touch?

rise to the occasion and get your head on straight cause if youre sittin at home listenin to all your emo derived bullshit influenced diss then you need to upgrade to the new era of hardcore which starts here so dont take my opinion eventhough my opinion is the only thing that will keep you sane and in into the scene a must purchase for anyone who likes good fast pased hard driven lyrics which are true to life so if youre still sittin here readin this then you dont deserve to be on this world you fuckin weasel moterrattner you now know who you are cause i feel much better when im alone.Heckle/jekle
