Liars Academy

Trading My Life

Equal Vision 77

Released on October 29, 2002

Great rock and roll is full of texture, life and emotion. Once in a while a band matures to the level that they paint texture and articulate the essence of life with broad strokes of guitar resonance and melody. Liars Academy has grown to this level, where the music they produce is more than just songs on a sterile compact disc. The band has created the truest sense of rock on its newest offering, "Trading My Life". The four songs contained within this set are flashes of brilliant light, bursts of sound and moderate pressure on your skin. This is the texture of life and it comes in the form of great rock.

this was an alright EP. when i first listened to it all i could think of was 'what a waste of money'. it got better but definitely not worth what i paid, for 4 songs. if you are die-hard fan this is for you. if not, get their first full length instead.

Good little cd e.p. A worthy follow up to No News... Matt Smith of Strike Anywhere plays most of the guitar on this. Doesn't sound anything like S.A. though. Still a solid four song release.

I have to disagree with the review about using this as a beer is quite hip....its not really punk or emo, or what have you....its just rock music, the other guy who reviewed this was probably looking for another nfg sounding band...... Give this a listen you may like it.

What a great follow up to No News is Good News. I was hoping for another full length by now but atleast this is somthing. These are just another four songs from one of the most amazing bands around today. If you haven't heard them before, make sure you get the full length but for everyone who has the full length this will not disappoint you. Awesome EP!
