A collection of previously unreleased material from long-running melodic punk DIY favorites J CHURCH. Primarily written as a follow-up to the Drama Of Alienation album (released by Honest Don's in 1997) while band leader LANCE HAHN was moonlighting as the guitarist for BECK, the record was put indefinitely on hold due to health issues, and is available now for the first time. Fourteen tracks of quality punk, pop and rock sounds performed with open tunings, naïve slide guitar, harmonic melodies, and Hahn's knack for a story. Includes covers of "Blasé" by Archie Shepp and "Not Proud of the USA" by the Mice, as well as a couple of older songs with updated vocals.

Despite the demo sound quality of this, which might put some people off, this is a collection of some truly excellent songs. Songs between Drama of Alienation & One Mississipi which never made it to a "proper" studio. Great melodies & some beautiful lyrics, this is a must have for all J Church fans. If you're new to them, I'd start with One Mississipi & work back.
