Vandals
Internet Dating Superstuds
Kung Fu 1423.2
Released on July 12, 2019
|
Ten albums and 20 years after their 1982 debut EP Peace Through Vandalism, the Vandals are stealing the spotlight yet again. Their new punk album Internet Dating Super-Studs has them putting on an Internet dating contest that has fans vying to go out with the band members, and for some strange reason, people actually want to win. Led by founding member Joe Escalante, along with chief songwriter Warren Fitzgerald, vocalist Dave Quakenbush, and drummer extraordinaire Josh Freese, the Vandals have stuck to their guns as the wackiest of all the prank-punk bands around. With their latest full-length being released on their own label (Kung Fu Records), the band is set to give the fans the album they have always wanted, MTV be damned. The new album is laced with 14 punk gems, plus an enhanced portion loaded with the results of the "Internet Dating Superstuds" Blind Date-style contest.

This record kind of sucked, it sounds like they are trying way too hard to make music, all of the guitar parts sound forced and the drums are all the same, the lyrics are stupid too.

Good stuff, this. Catchy, poppy, punky and sometimes downright hilarious. This is my first taste of the Vandals, but I'm gonna check out some more stuff. Josh freese is well known to many, but his best work was for Suicidal Tendencies on their Art of Rebellion cd, so check that out.

The vandals! You'd have to be some kind of moron to not like the fucking vandals. This cd has more of the funny lyrics and catchy choruses and beastiality that youve come to expect from the masters of joke-rock. If i had a band it would be a joke band. Too bad i dont have any musical talent.

Well, it's certainly not BAD. Vandals never fail to impress, and this CD is no exception. Most of the songs are original and catchy in their own right, but only a few shine out and can compare with their great songs from previous CD. Anyways.... I reccomend this CD to Vandals fans and fans of light-hearted, comical punk rock.

when i first heard the Vandals i was truely amazed, but changing your sound to gain 14 year old girls as fans maybe pretty 'funny'...but thats the area where bands like Blink 182 will always succeed, this is awful, the worst thing ive spent my hard earned cash on. I dont want to slag them off totally, 'live fast.... look what i almost stepped in....quickening... are amazing albums, but i dont think i can ever appreciate them the same evere again. Even their live act as changed,
BIG Disappointment
