Nodes Of Ranvier

Lost Senses, More Innocence

Facedown 27

Released on July 16, 2002

With hopes of expanding and taking Facedown Records to a newer level, we searched the nation far and wide for a band that would bring variety, versatility and a fresh new sound to our roster. This search ended in Sioux Falls, SD at the discovery of NODES OF RANVIER! An incredible 5 piece band that can best be described as a perfect mix of melodic metal, and heavy / solid hardcore. Their debut CD "Lost Senses, More Innocence" is an all around top-notch release that shows exactly how good this band is and guarantees that they will be putting the Mid-west on the map very soon!

This is a very good album that combines elemnts of metalcore, indie rock, and emo, and makes it all into a big fuckin piece of smashing hardcore with really good breakdowns...this band does some creative stuff that is catchy and interesting...its a little slow for my taste and it defintely could be turned into a more death metal direction, but it's still really fuckin good, specially for a first excellent achivement....Hopefully this band stays in the Rock 'n Roll business for long and in next recoridings get a little more aggressive.....for fans of Zao, Dead Poetic, Poison the Well, Since by Man....good shit.
