Butthole Surfers
Blind Eye Sees All - Live In Detroit 1985
Released on September 26, 2002
|
Perhaps the most infamously named band in all of modern music, the Butthole Surfers were celebrated among the most twisted and outlandish bands ever to emerge from American underground. The group fused the antics of shock-rock with a dash of avant-garde, hardcore and Texas psychedelia. Sleazy, confrontational and spiteful, songs like Bar-Be-Que Pope and The Shah Sleeps in Lee Harvey's Grave seemed destined to guarantee the Buttholes more than a few fans and admirers. By the mid-'90s, they were left field Top 40 hit makers, success perhaps their ultimate subversion of mainstream ideals.
This DVD contains vintage Buttholes’ footage; a look at the raw and insanely energetic Buttholes that took the American underground by storm. Take a journey back to 1985 to rock the hell out with the Buttholes as they terrorize Detroit and get your juices flowing…
