Los Olvidados

Listen To This

Alternative Tentacles 282

Released on July 9, 2002

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Seminal Skate-Punk band from San Jose, CA (1980-1983) heavily influenced by the first wave of punk rock (Stooges, NY Dolls, Dead Boys, Radio Birdman, Saints, etc.,) Los Olvidados were the Northern California equivalent of T.S.O.L., Agent Orange, The Adolescents, and others from Orange County who rose to popularity during the formative years of West Coast punk. Although featured on the MRR comp All Quiet On The Western Front and the early Thrasher magazine Skate-Rock Comps (#1 & #2), the band self-destructed before a full-length album would see the light of day--that is, until it was included in A.T.'s Skate-Punk Reissue Series. Even at 20 years old, this stuff still sounds so vital and youthful that you'll have no choice but to dust off your deck, drain the pool, and skate!

good buy. Pool skating and punk rock, what could be better. Soudns like US Bombs and TSOL. Greatest band from NorCal in their day but never got the credit they deserved.

A long overdue release! I dig Alt Tent's SKATEPUNK (not skaterock) releases! This ranks at the top of the 3 releases. These guys have a great Dead Boys style without coming off as a carbon copy of them...
