This Is Unity Music

Hopeless 663

Released on September 3, 2002

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

In 1999, nearly a decade after Operation Ivy called it quits, singer Jesse Michaels thrust himself back into the limelight under a new moniker, Common Rider, and re-entered the fold with the release of "Last Wave Rockers on Panic Button/Lookout! Enlisting punk veterans Mass Giorgini on bass and Dan Lumley on drum of Screeching Weasel and Squirtgun fame to back him on his latest project, Michaels finally constructed the outlet he had been searching for.

I was a bit on the fence about buying this cd, after hearing the outakes on the split cd, but when i got this I loved it. Every song is a great song, with very poetic lyrics. Jesse has a really great writing style about him, and Mass and Dan are really solid muscians.... Simply Amazing

With an open mind, simply put, this album will change yer life. It's an awesome offer by the genius behind Operation Ivy, Jesse Michaels. The songs are clever and the hooks are catchy. No song skirts in one genre for too long.

this is not operation ivy. the only similarity is the song writing. i first got common rider's last wave rockers off itunes because classics of love is a bloody lovely song. any who that cd was too short, kind of blended together and was softer. it was pretty good, not great. i would give taht a three this album is both longer and harder. it still blended together at times but it was much better. i havent memorized any of the song names, except black birds vs. crows. which is the best song on the cd. the guitar parts can seem more complicated too.

I love this album! My buddy introduced me to this band and I've been hooked ever since! The way the band plays and the way Micheals sings - unbelievable. Favorite track has to be Blackbirds Vs. Crows. If you have their first album or are a huge Operation Ivy fan, get this. No regrets.

Immediately the name "Jesse Michaels" will stick with you if you have heard of Operation Ivy. Well, for me it did. Once i saw last wave rockers and heard classics of love....WOW... He commits to his music so damn well. Classics of love was a great album, but This is Unity Music gives a bit more "energy" and more brilliant writings of unity. LWR did have some hits, but as for Unity Music the whole track I found to be an instant hit and leaves you listening to every song on the album, maybe some more than others but thats not the point. I do recommend getting Last wave rockers to set you up for Unity music which no doubt in my mind you will enjoy. The songs are greatly written. Man, where do i begin. Firewall just builds up for the whole album and small pebble comes along and holy shit. woooo. Can say much about the rest because you know where I am getting at which is songs are awesome, album awesome. Buy this album, you wont be disappointed. Peace Manifest unity unity

This album ROCKS! It is AWESOME!!! I love this CD. If you liked Last Wave Rockers then I am pretty sure you will love this CD too. It is definitely as good, if not better than Last Wave Rockers. Every Song on this CD is Freakin AWESOME! If you are hesitant at all about buying this CD I definitely recommend this CD if you are into Common Rider at all. It is well worth the money. My fvorites in this CD are small pebble, Longshot, Cool this Madness down, Blackbirds Vs. Crows, Time won't take away, Prison Break, and One Ton. I love Jesse Michaels. His lyrics are Amazing and they always have been, like in Operation Ivy. And his music is just as amazing as his lyrics. I am mad that they broke up. Every CD they made was incredible. I am sure this CD will be in my CD Player for a long time just like Last Wave Rockers when I first got it. I can't tell you how much I love this band. They have a very unique sound to them and I love it! Well if you don't have this CD you have got to buy it. Trust me you will not regret it at all. I would give it a 10 stars out of 5 if I could. So buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Common Rider is a very underappriciated band. You never really hear about them, but thier so damn good. This cd is excellent and consistent all the way through. You cant go wrong with These guys. Thier other cd "Last Wave Rockers" is also very good. If you liked Operation Ivy then you will probably like Jesse's new stuff. In a lot of ways they are similar, just with better recording. Good stuff right here.
