World/Inferno Friendship Society

Just The Best Party

Gern Blandsten 62

Released on April 2, 2002

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

NYC's disturbingly cult-like, circus-related, Halloween-tent-revival orchestra, THE WORLD/INFERNO FRIENDSHIP SOCIETY toothily and engagingly explain in 13 carnevalesque, gypsy-punk, original Broadway production numbers how you-yes, you-can go from a simple understanding of Zen and the Art of Breaking Everything in this Room to throwing Just the Best Party. The nine girls and boys of your INFERNO have buckled down and made the record you've always wanted them to make. They've combined the innovations and unexpectedness of their early work with the ferocity, sweat, and screaming of their incendiary road show-an event which has been described with such hyperbole as "life changing" and "makes all other bands look like a bunch of silly teenagers standing around holding guitars."

This is by far one of the most brutal albums I've ever bought. It's got a punky ska sound mixed in with all the theatrics of a circus and the drama that only a crazy bunch of freaks from all over the world could bring together. It's just awesome all around. Eccentric craziness and drunken worldly music ensue and I didn't even take it out of the stereo for the first 3 months I owned it. If you're down for a truly unique musical experience, you've got to have this album.

OHH MY i think im in love. I found one of my new favorite bands. These guys and girls are wonderful. so full of life. Reminds me of a broadway act or somthing. The songs to look for on this cd are "zen and breaking everything in the room", ""just the best party", and "all the world is a stage dive". the whole cd is just great. Their other release is really good too. my new goal in life is to attend one of thier concerts.

Great CD. The warm fuzzy feelings of the Bouncing Souls with the dancy crazyness of... well, of World Infero.

I really like this cd. I got their East Coast Super Sound Punk of Today cd first and the track Models and Mannequinns blew me away on that. None of the tracks on this cd completely blew me away but they are all pretty good stuff. Some of the standout tracks are Just The Best Party, Peter Lorre, and Go With It Girl. Its not very punk, its kind of happy and poppy and broadway musical like. If your getting this cd because of a connection to Leftover Crack, you might want to make sure you know what your getting first. I got into them because of their connection to LOC and I still like them but they are still very different so do your research first. Either way, this is a good cd, so pick it up if you want a new sound.

The W.I.F.S is a kick-ass band. I believe you'll love this album, if you love good music. People who are picky call 'em fags, and I call those people jackasses who should have died zygotes. :)
