Yeah yeah this Newfits stuff was nothing compared to the Danzig Misfits but I try not to even seriously think of them as the same band. I try to just think of it as Jerry Only & Doyle's new band that just happens to still go by the name Misfits... Hah, well I just say that because the Michael Graves-era of the Misfits did have good material that surely deserves more credit than most people give it because of all the back-story bullshit with the band. So anyways, the demos that they have on here at the beginning are all really awesome and sound a lot more raw and powerful then the slickly produced final versions found on American Psycho. The b-sides on here are also great. Bruiser is my personal favorite on here, that song is just so damn catchy. I Got A Right, Monster Mash, New Your Ranger, 1000000 Years B.C., Devil Doll are also good. The live version of Rise Above is okay but Dez was never my favorite Black Flag singer. This also has the music video for Scream. So overall, this CD has a ton of great material for it being a collection of demos and b-sides.

The new Misfits are great although there sort of punk/metal I still like them, any other metal bands suck ass because metal just sucks. Don't get me wrong though the classic Misfits are by far the best. I recomend listening to track 1. Dead Kings Rise, and track 6. Dr. Phibes Rises Again. Ah what the fuck all tracks kick ass so just buy this CD.

Im a pretty big Misfits fan. But the only song I honestly listen to on this record is "NY Ranger". The rest of the songs are kind of stale. But thats why this is a B-side and outakes CD. There is a music video on this disk. So for the misfit fan this is a good buy.
