Pig Destroyer

Prowler In The Yard

Relapse 6485

Easily the best grind / metal / core releases to come out this year, or even any year! This Virginia 3 piece lays down an aural beating like no other - combining technical grind, blast beats, extremely creative songwriting, with beefy breakdowns and ear-piercing shrieks. The awesome breakdowns bring me back to the heyday of Slayer and other great ‘80s thrash. Like I said, awesome!

An awesome journy though the demented mind of an unearthly band. This sick inpurity of an album is truely awesome, although musically there is still a touch to be desired. Something doesnt quite sit with me for some reason all though I am not sure what. The music can feel a tad repetative although the complexity of each song is indivual and compellingly sick. This is a great album however there are other C.D's you should perhaps own before purchasing this so a good basis for comparison can be made. Superb stuff.

The the intro to the end this disk had my attention the whole way thru. This bass-less grind band from Relapse Records will slaughter your ear drums and leave you high and fucking dry. Damn good grind

This absolutely rules. Blazing fast grindcore (no bassist) full of blast beats, crazy riffs, and insane vocals. The lyrics are very well written, and deal with an obsession with a female that eventually turns into something really sick and harmful. Great stuff. I would say that Pig Destroyer is the best grind band out there right now. Highly recommended.

this release from Pig Destroyer is the be all, end all of death-black-speed metal...aside from nosebleed, these guys are pretty much the best I'd have to declare. The speed, power and passion is unsurpassed. The riff on Trojan Whore has got to be one of the craziest riffs I've ever heard. N. Virginia based Pig Destroyer will leave you reeling with a ruptured spleen and hemorrhaging eardrums. This release proves that they have no need for a bassist. One of the guys is definitely hooked on some female and needs to seek professional help...but hell, we all have our problems, huh? They rule! Buy this if you want to hear something new and HEAVY! Definitely not for the weak.

chunkier than they're other stuff but still retaining those blastbeats and breakneck speed. grindcore basically that will leave you needing to visit a doctor and then afterwards a priest.
