River City Rebels

Playing to Live, Living to Play

Victory 1622

Released on August 21, 2001

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

It is one year later and the River City Rebels have blossomed from seven young rebels with a cause into one of the best punk bands today. That might be a tall claim but after hearing this masterpiece, you will not be able to disagree. Politically charged anthems with hooky choruses are the canvas which River City rebels use to paint the perfect picture of the youthful angst and urgency developed while growing up in a small New England Town.

i just left a review for religion racism and war...and i'll repeat what i said, pretty much, but anyway....that one is great. this one sucks. "small town pride" is the only good song and i think i only like it cuase i'm originally from a small town and the lyrics ring really true for me. other than that, definitely not worth your time or money. too bad...i thought the RCRs were gonna be good.

this is a great cd I think every one should buy it but thats just me thinking... the only thing that bugged me about this cd is that it lost the "singalongability" of the lyrics and is it just me or do the river city rebels cd's get slower and have less horns as each one comes out? but these minor things did not bug me all that much and I still give it a 5

Great band, Great music and some really cool style in fashion. It keeps my hope up among all this new Emo/pop/ crap out there. This is how Punk Rock should be - Feeling and passion rather than technical bullshit. Just the title is reason enough to buy this album! Punk rock lives!

this album is fucking great! they got the new singer and it's just rollicking. it totaly should be in any punks collection. best songs are "what's in a dream" and "daddy was a drunk".

if u like rancid, get this these guys are the greatest and i would be delighted to have sex with any of them i love u all, and i find them all very attractive. the whole world should engauge in a very large sexual something or other with all the boys in River City Rebels for giving me to of the greatest punk cds of all time. this cd isn't at political and is a bit slower than the first, so if u like street punk, u should get the first cd and if u like more like rancid or the clash punk get this one. These guys have a really strong horn section, they are very talented musicians and i think everyone should go pick up 1 of their releases.

its ok to have sexual relation with goats and with RCR.

this album is not bad. it is a lot different than their first. It is less political and more just straight forward punk. The new singer has a good voice and the lyrics are decent. Plus the band continues to play their catchy ska-punk...not a bad cd to add to your collection

Hmm....this is a lot mellower & lacking in energy in comparison to the 1st album. Seems the band now want to join the seemingly neverending line of Clash wannabes, with mixed results. Bands like this should realise it's no longer 1977, they were born in the U.K. & more importantly, none of the members are, or ever will be, as cool & real as Joe Strummer!
