i love piebald but this album is definately not a 'must have' unless you are a big enough fan (like myself) that you wish to own anything with their name on it. a lot of the recordings are horrible quality. if you are getting your first start with the band, pick another.

My first Piebald CD and definitly not my last... This is a great CD... There are a lot of songs on here and the CD doesn't cost much... Great for a first time listener...

wow.this was actually a lot better than i had expected.i purchased "we are the only friends that we have" a few months back after hearing piebald on a compilation cd. i think the best tracks on here are "8am departure","grace kelly with wings", and "watch her flow".its crazy.i think piebald just might be my favorite band. buy this if you like wilco, jets to brazil, weezer, the pixies, atom and his package, and the jimmy buffett housing project.

I already owned "The Only Friends" and "Rock Revolution" before i bought this and fell in love with these guys. I expected to get 40 great indie-Piebald songs but didn't. This is everything from their first 7' to American Hearts. It was really cool to see how they evolved from a crappy screamo band into the indie legends they are now. However none of the songs blew me away until the the 20 somethingth song. Don't buy this cd unless you are familiar with Piebald already or else you'll probably hate them. Buy "Only Friends" first. Peace.

this is the piebald cd to start out with. i don't know how many people got into them without this because the "venetian blinds.." full length is intolerable. it has one or two good songs but nothing to write how about. this cd has the best songs from that record and all their other gems. this is the shit. if you don't want this than "rock revolution" ep or "only friends we have" lp are your best bets. rocking.

THIS IS A GREAT ALBUM BY THE SMALL HOME BAND WHO HIT IT BIG! NOT ONE BAD SONG ON ALL THE SONGS THEY HAVE ON IT! I GOT THE CD YESTERDAY AND COULD NOT STOP LISTENING TO IT FOR THE WHOLE DAY. I LISTENED TO THE WHOLE THING! THIS CD IS AWESOME AND ITS FOR THE PRICE OF ONE CD. SO YOUR GETTING 40 SUMTIN SONGS FOR THE PRICE OF SOMETIMES PREPPYSELLOUT BANDS CD (LIKE THE FAGS NFG, AND GOOD CHARLOTTE) WHICH MAY ONLY HAVE 10-12 ON IT. THIS IS GREAT INDIE ROCK. BUY IT NOW. O AND I DONT KNOW HOW MANY SONGS ARE ON THE NFG AND G.C. CDS I JUST MEANT THEIR SELLOUTS AND ARE THE CAUSE OF ALL THE SICK POSERS IN THIS WORLD. ROCK ON

First of all, this is an amazing deal. You get 2 discs full of rare Piebald tracks that you can't get anywhere else. It's a great introduction to the band, and it will show you their early work and how they matured over the years. I think if you're just getting into Piebald, you should buy this and If It Weren't For Venetian Blinds... at the same time and fall in love with the band known as Piebald.

This double disk collection is a good buy because it includes songs from 3 of their releases and demos. The sound quality for some of the demos aren't that good, but most of other songs including live tracks are quality. Lyrics aren't included which is kinda disappointing. Although these CD's contain the songs from 3 of Piebald's releases, many of them aren't the original versions you would find on their original CD. Still, this is worth buying. I mean, it's Piebald! Is there anything more to say?
