if you like hot water music you should definitely pick this album up. chuck's vocals are gruffy as hell and full of southern rage. hot water music works hard as hell to release this stuff.. it doesn't kick ass for no reason. buy it! you won't regret it !!!

Very talented band, but not the best "punk" band. If you're one of those people who only listen to really hard fast music, then don't get it, it isn't for you. Although, I kind of like it.

This is a great album. Although it isn't HWM's best album ever, it has a lot of great songs. "Paper Thin" is one of my favorite HWM songs ever. This album is worth buying if you are a HWM fan, or if you just need something new to listen to.

One of the best albums of 2001 and one of the best acts on the current Epitaph roster. Heavy guitars, very good production, powerful vocals, and no fillers what so ever. I think this is HWM's best album yet!

I'm sorry...........I really don't want to say this. I was really disappointed in this release. Where to start? The song writing. I guess in one work, Weak. It is weak. To site examples, the opening title track, "A Flight and a Crash" was just bad. "Instrumental" was shit. The songs on here that I found slightly interesting were "Choked And Separated" and "She Takes It So Well". Next.......The production. This has the slick EpiaFat production. Especially on the vocals. One of the things that make Hot Water Music so great is the fine line they walk in their production. They keep it raw enough that it sits on the border of under produced and polished. Perfect. This release is slick as hell. The whole thing sounds rushed. I know it wasn't, they have had a long time to write it. I guess over all I just didn't feel it. I could go on all day........Man, I really wanted to like this more.

This is an amazing album. Although at first I didn't like it as much as No Division, it has definitely been getting better with every listen. The album has the classic duo-vocals, and all the songs are sung with such passion and emotion. Since it's on Epitaph, the production is definitely better. However, one of the reasons they're so good is the rawness of their sound, and I think this gets a little lost because of the production. A great album, but if it's your first HWM purchase, I'd definitely recommend No Division or Fuel for the Hate Game.
