Brandtson

Fallen Star Collection

Deep Elm 380

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Brandtson has upped the ante...and in no small way. Their style of darkly passionate, emotive rock is delivered with a new fire and chemistry. Surging with vocal harmonies that weave around aggressive guitar tracks, you'll hear outright pop songs to powerful new ballads with diary-honest, often spiritual lyrics as the rule. From the initial riff of "As You Wish" you'll be hanging on for every note. And you thought "Letterbox" was incredible?

This is a good emo CD at best. A great CD to me is one that stays in your mind long after it's over. I can't recall a time I've ever had one of these songs stuck in my head. It's an easy listen, but very forgettable.

The best songs are 4,5, and 6, but I would have to say this is good emo, but not Brandtson's best. If you are just getting into them you would like some of their newer stuff a lot better, I think. This definitely has the super emo feel to it, but sometimes the songs blur together and sound the same and the music smothers out his vocals. I mean, I really like this CD a lot... but I love their other stuff more I think.

I like Brandtson's, Dial In Sounds but I could not get into this. Nine months later and I've only listened to it once. From what I can remember... completely different from Dial In Sounds. Didn't cut it for me. Definitely pick up Dial In Sounds because that is an awesome album.

Maybe I don't have a lot of patience, but I don't think this cd is as good as people below me claim..

Now, I like some emo stuff, and I do like a lot of Deep Elm bands like Appleseed Cast, and Last Days of April, and yes I like this too....but nothing sticks out.

it's good music to relax to. and these guys are good.

but sadly nothing stuck out.

Take my review as you will. I wish I could give it a 7 out of 10

Don't know what emo means to you, probably has nothing to do with my own definition. It's just a word. And Brandtson is a kind of music, somehow bitter and happy at the same time, that fits well at any moment. It's also by far their best record ever. Consistent tracks for a coherent production.

Really good cd, really melodic emo. Don't get this mixed up with stuff like NFG or Rufio, the lyrics are alot more meaningful and the vocals really aren't whiny. Best song on the cd is "Shannon Said", it's really hard to categorize what bands are comparable to them. Overall, it's a good buy and definately worth the money.

This is my favorite Brandtson cd- this is the third copy I've bought for friends. It's such a good cd every song is slammin. The band is awesome live so yea I'd say if you have any interest in this band buy the cd because you'll listen to it over and over-
