New Brunswick, NJ's Thursday have been evoking intense passions in people for almost two years. The band began as a closely-knit group of friends who channeled those unbreakable bonds into not only an idea, but also an unparalleled sound that sets Thursday apart from all other bands. Recommended for fans of Boy Sets Fire, Deftones, and At The Drive In.

oh man where to begin. this is my third time buying this album. this album changed a genreation of youth. i know it did me. before this album i was a lost soul, hidden amongst the wolves. then i discovered this band. geoff has a way of making you fell as if you are right there with him and the band.

This is a brilliant album! Thursday's best! With songs like "Understanding in a Car Crash", "Cross out the eyes" and "A hold in the world" you are assured that this album is a cracker! Whenever i was angry at the world or upset i used to put on this album and it just made me feel so much better. Thursday's brutal honesty and experimentation on music with this album is awesome. I doubt that they can ever top this album. It was original, daring and i still listen to it all these years later. If only music was always this good.

this cd is pretty sweet. I feel Thursday has really built up a reputation for themselves, but that this cd doesn't fully live up to that reputation. it's still a great cd, so I recommend if you like Thursday's older stuff, you should pick this one up.

this is thursday at it's best...the vocals are amazing...annoying on your first listen but they grow on you...new jersey just seems to put out quality music time after time...for the armpit of america they sure do produce the best bands...this cd is a must buy for any fan of screamo...

This CD is amazing. It's Thursday's best record. Despite their current mainstream status, they really know how to put on a good show. If you don't like emo/hardcore, then obviously don't waste your time and money. But if you do, then I don't see how you could not enjoy this. If the genre ever dies out, this will be one of the landmark albums that people remember it for.

Ah, yes. This right here is THE cd. Years after its release and a hundred bands later, this cd still holds my top ten list by far. Geoff's heartfelt vocals lull the listener into a trance while the guitars and drums carry on a barrage of raw emotion. The lyrics on this cd are unmatched and very infectious; the perfect anthems for universal topics like alienation and heartbreak. The highlights of the cd are the songs "Understanding in a Car Crash," "Autobiography of a Nation," and "Cross out the Eyes." Thursday has always been a step ahead of the crowd, and this cd completely changed my views on music. Do yourself a favor and support this great band. Pick this cd up if you're new to Thursday, you won't be disappointed.

holy shit... utterly amazing. I'd like to make a note before i elaborate on the CD if i may, for those of you who noticed on ur Hawthorne Heights cd that unnecessarily compares them to thursday, i assure you that hawthorne heights IS NOT thursday. if you enjoy HH, go for taking back sunday, or matchbook romance or other shit like that. that being said, this is without any doubt the most emotional album i have ever heard and i've heard a lot of the shit that comes through this genre. geoff rickly actually cries during his shows because of the intensity of his lyrics. that's heavy shit. without any doubt i'd pick up this album first if you're new to thursday. from there you can pick any of them up and you'd enjoy them to the fullest i assure you. this album is an utter and complete masterpiece. one of my top 3 of all time

well, this is great stuff, really emotional, and i mean really. there are sum great parts in songs and sum terrible parts(apart from cross out the eyes and autobiography of a nation wich just rock)but overall worth a buy if ur into ur screamo. and beware as they sound completely different to any other band alive, wich is good.

This is abosolutely the best of Thursday's CDs. Every song on this CD is great, especially 'Standing on the Edge of Summer' and 'Paris In Flames'. I recommend this CD to anyone who hasn't heard Thursday beause this is the best they have to offer. Another great CD from a great band.
