Dashboard Confessional

Places You Have Come To Fear The Most

Vagrant 354

Released on March 20, 2001

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

It seems that in recent years the timeless approach of a man and his guitar facing the audience with a guitar and his heart on his sleeve has been lost on a generation glued to the screen of Carson Daily’s TRL. Chris Carraba started his adventure as front-man for indie outfit Further Seem Forever with the concept of Dashboard Confessional rising out of his desire to play all of the songs he was writing, not just the ones that fit with the Further Seems Forever Sound. Since then Chris has devoted all of his time to his music and been on tour with acts such as Face To Face, New Found Glory, and the New Amsterdams just to name a few. Chris’ incredible vocal capabilities matched up with his brutally honest approach leaves audiences speechless. This brand new full length will undoubtedly evoke the same amazed reaction and broaden his audience even further.

This cd is amazing. Dashboard Confessional is awesome. This is by far my favorite cd, with tracks 3, 7, 8, and 9 being my favorites. They're all good, though. Get this cd!

After my first few listens i loved this cd. Chris is such a talented, heart-felt guy. Im writting this review after about six months and i can't stand the cd anymore. STOP UR BITCHING. I gave it a 3 cause it was good for the first month, but then got annoying. If u have 12 bucks to blow this isnt a bad cd, but there is better emo out there. Laters

Excellent mellow folk-pop. Bob Dylan for the Y Generation (But, with emotion and feeling)!!! My personal favorites are "Screaming Infidelities" and "The Best Deceptions".

This album is gay. Another accidentally bought ablbum of mine. I read a review on Dashboard and, like a moron, I believed the hype. These guys make me want to cry and then call my ex-girlfriend and beg for her to take me back. That's how gay it is.

jeez. when i was first told to listen to this, i was expecting fast punk rock. i was mistaken big time. i was very turned off and said this stuff is crap. now i listen to it for what it is, without any assumptions. this stuff is GOOD. beautiful songs from the soul. great for going to sleep to. great for feeling something moving. great for buying, so do it!

I am having a hard time understanding why I eer bought this cd ? Don't get me wrong the guy is talented, great voice but I just can't stand the whining in each song. Jump off a fucking roof already ! I guess this cd is just not for me.

What the BLOODY 'eff was I THINKING? I was advised by many to just use it as a coaster, or to use it for shooting practice, but I'll TRY to get some money out of this. Chris, I'm sorry.. your voice is "good", but you really really REALLY need to stop whiiiiiiiiining. Fuckin' cheer up, you emo brizzat. I'm ashamed to have owned this piece of... work. So, uh, don't tell anybody. T-Boy, don't hate me 'cause I'm beautiful. :)

A nice mellow trip through Chris' emotional wonderland, this is a great album for all of us EMO heads. Even though this album is supposed to be progressive, it sounds like a further seems forever solo demo. Overall, I think this is a great compilation of songs representing alot of things we've all experienced, a definite sing-along classic. Personal favorites include: Saints & Sailors, The best deceptions, & The good fight. If you like this shit check out Further seems Forever "the moon is down", thats where this guy really shines, PiEcErs!
