Death On Wednesday

Buying the Lie

(Face To Face)

Side Cho 1003

Released on October 31, 2000

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

People of Earth, prepare to be pulverized (or at least jazzercized) by this new TREVOR KEITH (FACE TO FACE) production. Morrissey meets Danzig meets The Smoking Popes on this catch-all debut effort. Engineered by the venerable CHAD BLINMAN (GET UP KIDS, ROCKET FROM THE CRYPT) to insure aural quality.

I was really disapointed in this CD, for the simple reason it sucks balls. If it wasnt for "Stranded" and "No Regrets" this CD wouldnt still be sitting in my room.

This band is really cool and very different. I enjoy the darkness of the lead singer's voice (a la danzig, morrisey) combined with the catharsis of an upbeat hook/chorus. Reminds me a bit of old AFI but better in that there remains a bit of rock n roll mystique. Great album!

I thought this album was pretty rad. Has a vintage sound. The vocals remind me of the Misfits quite a bit... I could see how Jeff/from Texas can relate this band to Social Distortion.. not too much though. I heard it in my cousin Rachel's car and HAD to get the cd. It's completely worth the little bit you have to pay. So buy it, you won't regret it. Also, if you like them, check out 'If All Else Fails.' You're bound to like them as well. Great live.

The prefect link between The Misfits (the vocals), Face To Face (the sound), and The Smiths (the vocals again(!) + the melodies). Debut album produced by Trever Keith (No Motiv, Boxer, etc). This band can grow huge!

Ignore all the bad hype you have heard. If ya like Social D with a mix of The smiths, well ya got it here. These guys are just great punk rocking roll like social D, with a mix of dark thrown in to the fun. Something that trully gets in ya. Sorry, but my words just can't give these guys enoguh credit. I don't know how to put it, imagine some paychobilly band sticking more to the roots of rocking roll and you get just a fill of what these guys are, better yet imagine Social D, taken to a higher level.

This was one of the best rock cd's i have heard in a really long time. If you like the Smiths or anything in that general area you will dig this album. It really flows and has one of the best rock sounds i have heard in years. i strongly recomend this album.

Slightly remniscient of Face to Face, although the few similarities are outweighed by the vast number of differences. Other than that, these guys rock. I would consider these guys more of a "rock" band before I'd label them as punk. Even still, I'm glad that I bought this album. Don't buy this expecting to hear your favorite Face to Face tunes, because you'll be disappointed. Rather, buy this because you have an open mind, and are willing to give this band a try.

My reviews always suck, get over it.

This album is completely amazing! It has so much style and energy throughout every song! I picked it up because Trever Keith produced the album, and the band and he did an awesome job. Clear songwriting with a huge Smith's influence. Highly "emotive" you might say, but don't pigeon-hole this album, it's VERY diverse! Every song is worth a listen!
